Norway Built is a remodeling company based out of Downers Grove, Illinois. We specialize in high-end kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and outdoor living solutions. Following COVID-19, business has picked up and we are looking to add to our team of skilled professionals.
Job Description (Including but not limited to)
+ Ability to understand written scope (s) of work and instructions
+ Complete tasks to include facilitating materials needed and completing sign-off responsibilities with client
+ Understanding of budget and taking accountability for labor and material budgets associated with projects
+ Building/installing cabinetry
+ Ability trim and perform all carpentry duties required, including both rough and finish carpentry
+ Ability to do light electrical, plumbing, drywall, and flooring
+ Ability to demo and frame
+ Job site supervision (including protection, cleanliness, and safety)
+ Supervising and scheduling subcontractors
+ Creating and adjusting project schedules accordingly
+ Ordering all construction materials needed for projects
+ Regular updating of construction progress software
+ Run Service work when needed
+ Communicate with owners, and solve problems if they arise
Requirements
+ Reliable transportation
+ Valid driver’s license
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Personal tools
+ Flexible schedule
+ Availability to work some weekends when necessary
+ Ability to lift at least 40 LBS
+ Excellent written and spoken communication skills
+ Proven experience in residential remodeling or construction
+ Proven experience in carpentry
+ Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures
+ Ability to safely operate power tools.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ Excellent time management skills
+ Strong leadership skills
+ Self starter and self motivated
